Police chase ends with 3 arrests


CANTON, Miss. (AP) — Shots were fired by police during a chase through several parking lots in Madison County.

Authorities said the incident began Thursday in a Lowe's parking lot off County Line Road and ended a few blocks away in a parking lot of the Mattress Firm.

Investigators tell WAPT-TV ( ) that shots were fired when a vehicle being driven by one of the suspects tried to run over a police officer. Nobody was hit by the bullets.

Officials say three people are in custody. They said two of them were injured in a crash.
