Father, daughter killed in Lee County crash

SHANNON, Miss. — A Tupelo Parks and Recreation coach and his daughter were killed in a one-car crash on Highway 45 in Lee County.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol tells the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal (http://bit.ly/18ajXu3 ) Brian Ezelle was killed Saturday afternoon, and his daughter, 9-year-old Lauren, was seriously injured and was taken to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis.

Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green says Lauren died at 10:37 p.m. Saturday.

The crash is still under investigation.
