2 kids kidnapped, one's throat cut in south Miss.

BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. — Authorities say a man has been arrested in connection with the kidnapping of two young boys, one of whom suffered a slashed throat.

Hancock County Deputy Don Bass told The Sun Herald (http://bit.ly/JFL6ec) that the children, ages 5 and 8, are believed to have been kidnapped Wednesday night from a home in Pearl River County then taken to a trailer in Hancock County.

The 8-year-old escaped into the woods after being attacked. WLOX TV reports (http://bit.ly/1foTZDk ) that the boy made it to a home about 500 yards away to get help.

A 41-year-old Hancock County man was captured less than three miles from his home and faces charges in Pearl River and Hancock counties.

Bass said the 8-year-old was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries.
