TUPELO —

TUPELO, Miss. (AP) — A Tupelo man will serve two life sentences for the shooting deaths of two Tupelo residents.

Travon Brown was found guilty of murder in the deaths of 22-year-old Cornellius Harris and 36-year-old Felicia Ruffin. Their bodies were found in the home they shared on Sept. 28, 2011.

Before he was led away in to state custody, Travon Brown made a statement and admitted his apology "was not sufficient" for the families' losses. A 12-member jury deliberated about two hours Thursday before it returned with guilty verdicts.
