Body of missing Aberdeen man found in truck

HAMILTON, Miss. — Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says the body of Harold Wright has been recovered.

The Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal reports (http://bit.ly/125jnWW ) authorities blocked off a section of Bartahatchie Road near Hamilton late Wednesday afternoon as crews worked to recover Wright's 2004 Ford Edge from a creek bed just east of the Buttahatchee River.

County coroner Alan Gurley says an autopsy will be performed to determine the cause of death.

Gurley said it is unclear if Wright died from an accident or from a drowning.

The Monroe County Sheriff's Office and the Lowndes County Sheriff's Department have taken the lead on the investigation since Wright was reported missing on April 15. The case is still under investigation.
