SOUTHAVEN, Miss. — Mississippi Attorney General Jim Hood says a former employee of DeSoto Healthcare Center in Southaven has been charged with acquiring a controlled substance through misrepresentation.
The Commercial Appeal reports (http://bit.ly/19wPVlr ) 50-year-old Susan Chapman, of Sarah, was charged with one count of acquiring Lortab that had been prescribed to another person.
Chapman turned herself in to the DeSoto County Jail last week and was released on $10,000 bond. She could face up to five years if convicted.
Joe Sanderson of the attorney general's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit is investigating the case.
It was unclear whether Chapman has an attorney.
