AMORY, Miss. — A Hamilton woman has pleaded guilty in Monroe County Justice Court to 13 counts of animal cruelty.

In March, deputies found about 100 dogs and several cats were living in deplorable circumstances at a house in the Lackey community of Monroe County. The animals were removed by Amory Humane Society for evaluation and treatment.

On Thursday, Judge Robert Fowlkes ordered 40-year-old Cindy Ann House to pay a $15,179 fine and to pay restitution to Monroe County in the amount of $5,800. House also received a 90-day suspended sentence.
