Spice is a common name for cannabinoids or synthetic marijuana.

Sheriff Melvin Brisolara tells The Sun Herald Sharon Kaye Register of Pass Christian, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of possession with intent to distribute.

Brisolara says narcotics officers visited her fruit stand while it was set up near Interstate 10. They found 700 packaged bags of spice, weighing about 3 pounds.
