OXFORD, Miss. — A Forrest County couple has been charged with exploitation of a dozen residents of a personal care home they have been operating in Stone County.
The attorney general's office says in a press release that Rev. Allen Boone and his wife, Eunice Terrell Boone, were charged with 12 counts each of felony exploitation of a vulnerable person and one count of operating a personal care home without a license.
The couple was arrested Wednesday.
Officials say residents found living in allegedly unacceptable conditions at the home in Stone County have been transferred to other facilities with the assistance of the Department of Health, Division of Health Facilities Licensure and Certification.
The Boones were booked into the Stone County jail.
It was unclear whether they have an attorney.
