Store manager dead after Ridgeland robbery


RIDGELAND, Miss. (AP) — Police in Ridgeland say the manager of a party supply store was shot to death in an armed robbery.

The Friday night shooting happened shortly before 11 p.m.

Police identified the victim as 68-year-old Robert "Bobby" Adams of Madison. He had been shot in the torso.

Witnesses told Ridgeland investigators that the gunman drove away in a sport utility vehicle. He escaped with cash from the store office.
