Man shot during robbery attempt

MERIDIAN —     A man walking near the intersection of 20th St. and 25th Ave. Tuesday evening was shot in the arm during a robbery attempt, according to police.

    The shooting occurred at about 7:30 p.m. The victim told officers with the Meridian Police Department he was approached by two black males who tried to rob him.

    He was shot during the robbery attempt, according to police

    The man went to a local hospital where police were called.

    The victims wound was not life threatening.

    Police are investigating. Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call Crime Stoppers  at (601) 485-1860.
