Temple gospel concert Feb. 22

MERIDIAN —     Ernie Haase & Signature Sound with special guest 2nd Mile are scheduled to perform at the Temple Theater, 2320 Eighth St., on Friday, Feb. 22, beginning at 7 p.m.

    Presented by FM Promotions, tickets are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the show. Tickets may be purchased online through itickets.com or at the Bible Bookstore, 820 23rd Ave.

    A southern gospel music quartet, Ernie Haase & Signature Sound formed in 2003. For 10 years they have topped Billboard's Music Video Chart, the Contemporary Christian Music Video Chart, and the Contemporary Christian and Southern Gospel Audio Charts.

    In 2008 Ernie Haase & Signature Sound won Gospel Music Association Dove Awards for Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year and Southern Gospel Album of the Year for "Get Away Jordan." In 2009 they won the Southern Gospel Recorded Song of the Year Dove Award for "Reason Enough" from the album "Dream On."

    The band members are Ernie Haase, Paul Harkey, Doug Anderson and Devin McGlamery.

    The Mississippi-based gospel group 2nd Mile includes Reggie Lovorn of Philadelphia, Richard Ferguson of DeKalb, Robby Bennett of Meridian, and Tim Buchanan of Starkville.
