MPD arrests 2 in recent cases


Authorities with the Meridian Police Department released the names of two men who have been arrested in connection with two recent incidents.

MPD Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the department's Criminal Investigation Division, said Friday police have taken into custody 26-year-old Decourtney T. Tidmore of Stonewall and charged him with forgery. Tidmore's bond was set at $10,000.

Harper also said Prince L. Donald, 20, of Meridian, was charged with residential burglary and felon in possession of a weapon. Harper said this arrest stems from a residential burglary that reportedly occurred on August 12. Donald's bond was set at $25,000 per charge. 

MPD detectives are also investigating a commercial burglary that occurred Thursday and an auto burglary involving two different vehicles that were reported Thursday.
