MERIDIAN —     Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler said Friday afternoon that the three people who died in a two-car collision Thursday afternoon on Highway 19 North have been identified as a Lauderdale County resident and two people from out of state.

Cobler said David Lott Sr., 74, of Suqualena, was driving a Lincoln Continental with Richard Warren Scarbrough, 24, of Missouri riding in the front passenger seat, and Jamie Marie Logan-Savi, 28, in the back seat, when it collided with a black Chevrolet Camaro.

Sgt. Andy West, public affairs officer for the Mississippi Highway Patrol's Troop H, said the Camaro was driven by Jon W. St. Clare, 19, of Neshoba County.

Lott, Scarbrough, and Logan-Savi were all pronounced dead at the scene, Cobler said. West said St. Clare was transported to Rush Foundation Hospital for injuries that included head trauma. St. Clare's injuries were not considered critical, West said.

Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers at the scene said at about 1:30 p.m., the Lincoln was crossing over the southbound lanes of Highway 19 North at Highway 494 in Suqualena when it was struck in the passenger side by the southbound Camaro.

Authorities at the scene said Thursday that none of the four people involved in the crash were wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.

The impact of the collision rolled the Lincoln over. The Camaro came to rest, with the front end bashed in, a couple of feet from the Lincoln.
