MCC students to participate in state honors choir

MERIDIAN —     Twelve Meridian Community College choral students have been selected to perform at the Mississippi Community College Honors Choir at the Southern Invitational Choral Conference in Hattiesburg, Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 23-24.

     “The students get to experience the art of choral performance,” said Tammy Miles, co-choral director and music instructor at MCC.

    The students will be under the direction of Dr. Paul Hondorp of Western Kentucky University and they will join in the 300-member choir when it presents a public concert on Sept. 23 at Main Street Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.

     The students participating are Lauren May, Caroline Kennard, Seth Read, Kalan Mason, Kelsey Ward, Andrea Alonso, Caleb Alawine, Jonathon Collins, Courtney McDonald, Michelle O’Hehir and Dylan Miles and Joseph Robinson.
