Three men have been charged by Meridian Police Department authorities in connection with separate incidents that reportedly occurred earlier this week.
According to a press release issued through the office of MPD Lt. John Griffith, the felony charges range from domestic violence to the possession of controlled substances.
On March 12 MPD detectives charged 25-year-old Justin M. Williams with his third offense of simple assault-domestic violence, which constitutes a felony, according to the press release. Williams was not granted a bond during proceedings in Meridian Municipal Court due to his already being on hold for authorities with the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
On March 14, detectives charged Curtis M. Woods, 27, with possession of a controlled substance. In a separate incident, Marquellous S. Osborn, 28, was also charged with possession of a controlled substance on March 15. Both Woods and Osborn were placed on $5,000 bond each for their respective offenses.
