MPD searching for robbery suspect

MERIDIAN —     Detectives with the Meridian Police Department area searching for a man who reportedly robbed a woman and her child in the parking lot of a shopping center Saturday night.

    MPD Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the department's Criminal Investigation Division, said authorities are looking for a man described as a Hispanic male who allegedly pulled a knife on a woman and her child in the parking lot of the Bonita Walmart. Harper said the incident occurred at about 8 p.m.

    Harper said neither of the victims was injured.

    Harper said the victims could only give a description of the man as being of Hispanic appearance wearing a grey shirt and white hat.
