MERIDIAN — Volunteer firefighters battle a blaze that destroyed this home Monday afternoon. The fire started about 3:45 p.m. at the home located at 6236 Carl Price Road in Toomsuba. All of the occupants of the home were able to get out and were not injured. Volunteer fire departments from Toomsuba, Russell, Alamucha, Lauderdale, and Sam Dale responded to the call.
