The World Famous Original Toughman & Tough Woman Contest will be held this Friday and Saturday at the Frank Cochran Community Center, 8 p.m., in Meridian's Highland Park. Doors will open at 7 p.m.
Advance Tickets are on sale now for as low as $16, and are available at Bo Haraala Autoplex, the Music Emporium, and State Farm.
VIP, ringside and reserved tickets also are available.
Tickets will be $20 at the door.
Russ Andreacchio, a local promoter of the event, said about 30 fighters have signed up for the event so far.
He said there is still time to compete in the event. Fighters who haven't registered yet can register at the weigh-in scheduled Thursday at 7 p.m. at Art's Shedhouse on Eighth Street.
Fighters also can register late by 5 p.m. Friday at the Frank Cochran Center.
"This is an exciting sporting event as seen on Fox Sports Net," Andreacchio said.
He added that this is the fifth consecutive Toughman competition to be held in Meridian, but it will be another year before the next one.
