Officers injured in wreck

MERIDIAN —     Two Meridian police officers and one other driver were transported to local hospitals Thursday night following a wreck that took place on North Hills Street.

    The officers were responding to a call that they received around 9 p.m. on North Hills Street, in front of Vowell's Marketplace, when a car turned in front of the officers' car, resulting in a collision, Meridian Police Department Public Information Officer Dareall Thompson said.

    Two metro ambulances arrived on the scene to transport the officers and the other driver to local hospitals although the injuries are not thought to be life threatening, Thompson said.
