MERIDIAN —     Community leaders and associates will gather at the Meridian Sam’s Club for a grand reopening ceremony Friday at 9:30 a.m. Doors to the upgraded club will open to members immediately following the ceremony, according to a press release.

The Meridian Sam’s Club, located at 715 Bonita Drive, originally opened in 2005. The updates include a new pharmacy, photo department and optical department, providing members more opportunities to save time and money than ever before, the press release states.

“All of these new features bring a new level of convenience to our members,” said club manager Jason Collie. “They help meet member needs while delivering tremendous value.”

Pharmacist Robbie Willis said prior to the event that she looks forward to unveiling this addition to her hometown club.

“The pharmacy allows our club to better serve our members and understand their needs,” Willis said. “It also provides the vital counseling aspect our members deserve.”

The new photo department and optical lab will also elevate the member experience for the personal shopper along with local small business members, according to the press release.

“I like the friendly faces, and the customer service is great,” said Ronnie Shack of Rib Shack, one of the many small businesses in Meridian that rely on Sam’s Club. “I know everybody and I see the same faces every day. Most of the ladies who help me have been working there since I started my business. We’re all friends.”

The Meridian Sam’s Club regularly presents grants and makes donations to area organizations as part of its commitment to give back to the community it serves. The club recently sponsored the Make-A-Wish Foundation’s Walk for Wishes, raising $6,000 for the organization.

Sam's Club Membership offers exclusive savings on merchandise and outstanding member benefits, according to the press release. for more information.
