Meridian City Hall open Saturday to assist voters

MERIDIAN —     Circuit Court Clerk Donna Jill Johnson said Meridian City Hall will be open Saturday to assist voters who will not be in the area to vote in the upcoming elections.

Johnson said eligible voters will be able to cast their absentee ballots from 8 a.m. until noon. This is to help those who can't vote during regular business hours, Johnson said.

"It is human nature to wait but we urge everyone to take advantage of this extra half day to cast their ballots," Johnson said.

Monday, April 29, is a state holiday for Confederate Memorial Day and city hall will be closed.
