Authorities search for teenager

MERIDIAN —     Authorities with the Meridian Police Department are asking for the community's help in locating a missing teenage girl.

    MPD Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the department's Criminal Investigation Division, said Thursday detectives are needing information on the whereabouts of Kristy Ann Rodgers, 16, of Meridian. Harper said Rodgers is said to be 5 feet, 4 inches tall and weighing about 135 pounds. Rodgers was said to have reddish brown hair. She was last seen on Dec. 31 around 3:30 p.m. near the 200 block of 30th Avenue.

    Rodgers is said to have been wearing a red Polo button up shirt, dark blue jeans with flowers on the back pockets, two large gold loop earrings and two diamond earrings on top of each ear. She also is thought to have been wearing black tennis shoes with pink shoe laces and red flowers on each toe of the shoes. She also was wearing a black coat with fur lining.
