Suspects in separate cases charged, bonds set

MERIDIAN — Meridian Police have charged James H. Troxell Jr., 32, of Chunky with two counts of strong armed robbery with a bond set at $25,000 per charge. The cases are still under investigation.

    Troxell was arrested following a Thursday morning report of an assault and robbery in the parking lot of a bar on Russell Drive. When they arrived, the suspects fled in a vehicle, prompting a pursuit that reached speeds of 90 mph, according a police report.


    The driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed near Hawkins Crossing, according to the report. The driver and three other occupants in the vehicle were arrested.

    On Monday, Meridian Police asked the public’s help in identifying a subject in a surveillance photo from a recent commercial burglary. Due to a CrimeStoppers tip, Meridian Police have now arrested and charged 32-year-old Daniel P. Bester of Enterprise with two counts of commercial


    Both of these charges stem from two burglaries that occurred in the 200 block of 49th Avenue recently.

    Bond was set at $30,000 per charge.
