Girl with Meridian ties to represent state

MERIDIAN — Special to The Star

    The State of Mississippi is being represented this week in Washington, DC at The National Cherry Blossom Festival by Cherry Blossom Princess Vivian Paris of Jackson and by Junior Cherry Blossom Princess Cynthia McClain Brooks.

    Vivian is a sophomore at The University of Mississippi majoring in Public Policy and Marketing.  Cynthia McClain is a fifth grader living in Alexandria, Va. with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Michael Stafford Brooks. She is the grand-daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Brooks of Meridian.
