Blood drive seeks heroes

MERIDIAN —     Mississippi Blood Services (MBS) is looking for heroes, ordinary people who take the time to give of themselves and donate blood – giving patients in need a chance for a lifetime.

The Eliza Pillars RN Association will be holding a blood drive on Saturday, March 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The MBS Donor Coach will be in the EMEPA parking lot. All donors will receive a T-shirt. Donors can now check their overall cholesterol levels on their MBSConnect account.

“You can be a part of the team of life-savers by donating blood,” Tony Bahou, MBS Communications and Public Relations Manager said. “Blood donors give the gift of life to Mississippi patients needing blood.”

Donors must be at least 17 years old, or 16 years old with signed parental consent, weigh at least 110 pounds and have a valid ID. Visit or call us at (888) 90-BLOOD (902-5663) for information.
