MPD investigating robbery

MERIDIAN —     Detectives with the Meridian Police Department are trying to locate two men who are thought to have committed a strong-armed robbery Tuesday.

According to a press release issued through the office of MPD Lt. John Griffith, officers were called to the 2400 block of 41st Avenue around 11:09 p.m. to a report of a robbery.

The release said when officers arrived on the scene they came in contact with the victim who told police he was approached by two black men who demanded money.

"A strong-armed robbery is one that is done without the use of any weapon," Griffith said. "They roughed up the victim some but otherwise he was not hurt."

Both the suspects fled on foot. There was no description of the two men provided by the victim.

Anyone with information about this crime can call Crime Stoppers at 1-855-485-8477.
