Murder investigation continues

MERIDIAN —     A homicide investigation into the second apparent murder of the year in Meridian continues as Meridian Police Department detectives try to locate one or more people who may have been responsible.

     The cousin of Nathan Cole, 34, of 1005 27th Avenue found Cole dead in his bed around 10 a.m. Friday morning. Cole's cousin told police he went to the residence to find out why Cole was not answering his phone. Reports said Cole was found in his bed with a gunshot wound to the head.

    Lauderdale County Coroner Clayton Cobler placed the time of death between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m. Friday.
