Two face larceny charges

MERIDIAN —     Two men were jailed on Thursday and charged with grand larceny.

    According to Capt. Dean L. Harper of the Meridian Police Department, the two men were charged after an alert citizen called 911 and reported suspicious behavior.

    "This phone call led to an officer checking on the situation and taking the two into custody after a short foot chase," Harper said.

    Harper identified the men as Toriano Dubose, 42, of Meridian and Troy Nix, 30, of Meridian. Bond was set at $50,000 each.
