MERIDIAN — Two more arrests in armed robbery, burglary cases

Tuesday afternoon, the Meridian Police Department's DART team arrested 17-year-old Deion Cole of Toomsuba. Cole was wanted in connection with the Highland Park robbery reported last week. Cole has now been charged with armed robbery. Cole is the last suspect wanted from the incident. Cole's bond was set at $250,000.

Also Tuesday afternoon, Meridian Police arrested 41-year-old Blondie M. Green of Meridian and charged her with accessory after the fact to motor vehicle theft. This charge stems from an incident involving her son, Markeey Green, who was arrested Monday for motor vehicle theft from the Briarwood area burglaries last week. Bond was set at $25,000.

Burglary suspect charged

Monday morning, Meridian Police responded to a residential burglary in the 2500 block of 44th Avenue. A witness to the burglary gave police a description of the suspect and he was taken into custody within minutes at a residence located nearby. Meridian Police have now charged 21-year-old Alvin Terry Ricks of Meridian with residential burglary. His bond was set at $5,000.
