Queen City Fair set for Oct. 3-9

MERIDIAN —     The Queen City Fair returns to the Lauderdale County Agri-Center on Oct. 3-9.

    According to Len McRae, who has promoted the fair, which is going into its 11th year,  talent showcases, concerts, performances, exhibits, food from around the world, and popular midway carnival rides will be part of this year's experience.

    This year's line up of rides includes The Zipper, The Himalaya, Giant Wheel, Pharaoh's Fury, Bumper Cars, The Sizzler and more, including the newest rides for younger thrill seekers.

    This year Bixby & Friends will provide a unique, entertaining and educational show featuring exotic animals and reptiles from around the world.

    The Queen City Fair also will bring back its petting zoo, the Rock Band Contest, Meridian's Most Talented, the Little Queen City Fair Pageant and Youth Nite Concerts.
