Sheriff Vehicle Hit

MERIDIAN — A Lauderdale County Sheriff Department patrol car was struck by another vehicle at Fifth Street and 20th Avenue Wednesday afternoon. According to Chief Deputy Ward Calhoun, the patrol car was struck in the rear by a vehicle driven by Silas Rene Rodriguez-Sanchez. Rodriguez-Sanchez was arrested and charged with driving without a license and violation of insurance card in vehicle law.
