NEWTON RAISES MONEY FOR CANCER PATIENTS

MERIDIAN — Special to The Star

The Newton County Municipal School District raised $2,000 for the Cancer Patient Benevolence Fund during October. The entire school district participated in a fundraiser allowing students to wear pink in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
