MPD arrests announced

MERIDIAN —     Authorities with the Meridian Police Department reported the arrest of three men in connection with incidents that reportedly occurred in Meridian.

    According to a press release issued through the office of MPD Lt. John Griffith, MPD narcotics agents on March 4, arrested and charged Tony M. Wilson, 32, with possession of a controlled substance. Bond for Wilson was set at $50,000.

    The release said a teenager, 17-year-old Juwan J. McCallum, was charged March 4 with receiving stolen property and felony fleeing in a motor vehicle. The release said McCallum was placed on $10,000 bond for the receiving stolen property charge and another $10,000 bond for the felony fleeing.

    Also on March 4, MPD narcotics agents charged Johnnie D. Irby, 44, with possession of a controlled substance. Bond for Irby was set at $5,000.
