Hospice Month

MERIDIAN — Freda Smith, volunteer coordinator for Hospice Compassus, displays a proclamation for November as National Hospice Month as she stands next to Mayor Cheri Barry. Hospice care provides support to patients with a terminal diagnosis. Volunteers at hospices provide services such as friendly visits, reading aloud, and meal preparation for hospice patients.
