Third person charged in task force bust

MERIDIAN —     A woman has now been charged in connection with last weeks drug operation.

    Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department Chief Dep. Ward Calhoun said Stacie Dunn, 25, of 5351 Fisher Road, has now been charged as a result of the ongoing investigation. Calhoun said Dunn has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of marijuana. She has been placed on $15,000 bond.

    Two other people, Donald W. White, 47, and Milton Chuck Stevens, 36, were charged last week with multiple offenses.

    Last Wednesday, agents with the East Mississippi Drug Task Force served a search warrant on a residence located at 639 Azalea Road after a lengthy investigation into alleged drug activity. Calhoun said several people were inside the home at the time of the search. He said agents and deputies confiscated other items during the search of the home that may be tied to other cases investigators with the LCSD are working.

    A woman was shot once in the wrist/upper hand during the service of this warrant. She was treated and released Wednesday from a hospital in Meridian.
