Police investigate possible shooting

MERIDIAN —     Meridian Police Department authorities are looking into a possible shooting incident that occurred Tuesday night at a Meridian home.

MPD Capt. Dean Harper said a window at a home located in the 3400 block of Highland Avenue was struck by what the homeowner believed to be a bullet hole. The homeowner called police and after a preliminary investigation authorities believe the hole might have been made by a .22 caliber bullet.

No one inside the home was struck.

According to Harper, the investigating officer who initially responded to the scene could not locate a bullet or bullet casing.
