MPD makes felony arrests

JACKSON — From Staff Reports

    A press release issued Tuesday morning stated four people have recently been arrested and charged by authorities with the Meridian Police Department for various felony crimes.

    The release said detectives charged Errick R. Bell, 29, with aggravated domestic violence. Bell was taken into custody on Feb. 6, the statement said. Bell's bond was set at $5,000.

    On February 7, Cory J. Boutin, 26, was charged by MPD detectives with motor vehicle theft, the statement said. Boutin's bond was set at $5,000.

    On Monday, detectives arrested two individuals in separate cases.

    The statement said Ernest L. Smith was charged by MPD detectives with embezzlement. Smith, 53, saw his bond set at $5,000.

    Johnny K. Stewart, 26, was charged Monday by authorities with forgery, according to the statement. His bond was set at $5,000.
