‘Good Call’

Fans meet with Duck Dynasty star

MERIDIAN —     Jase Robertson of the hit television show, Duck Dynasty made a stop at the Lifeway Christian Bookstore in Meridian on Wednesday afternoon to promote and sign copies of his new book "Good Call: Reflections on Faith, Family, and Hunting."

Fans piled up in front of the store as Robertson's bus entered the parking lot.

"I really enjoy watching the show," said Dalton Smith, one of the fans in attendance. "It is a clean show where the family is not afraid to share their faith. Jase is probably one of my favorite characters so getting a chance to see him today is really exciting."

Robertson said he was surprised by the crowd that was drawn to the signing.

"It has really been exciting to be here," Robertson said. "I did not realize that this many people were in Meridian. I have had a great time. All the people today have really touched my heart, seeing kids in wheelchairs having a chance to sit down and have prayers with people."

Robertson said his main message was to thank fans for the love and support they have showed his family.

"I am amazed the show is really popular. I think the reason is the family nature of it and people like to laugh," Robertson said. "We have a great time together being ourselves on the show. So I feel it is not something that is hard to do, being myself."
