Second suspect in shooting death sought

MERIDIAN —    Meridian Police are asking for the public's help in finding the second suspect in the Friday night car jacking that left two men injured and a third man dead.  

    Detective Dareall Thompson with the Meridian Police Department said investigators are looking for Jamarcus T. Reed, 20, as the second suspect connected to the incident.

    "He is described as a light skinned black male, that stands 5'5" and weights 135 pounds," Thompson said.

    Meridian Police arrested Cedrick Deshun Norman, 20, Wednesday in connection with the car jacking.

    Norman's initial hearing was Tuesday afternoon. He was denied bond for the capital murder charge. Bond on the armed robbery charge was set at $1.5 million, bond on both the carjacking charge and the aggravated assault charge was set at $500,000.
