Meridian police arrest suspects

MERIDIAN —     Monday, Meridian Police Department officers made several arrests in connection with local crimes that allegedly occurred.

    MPD officers arrested 49-year-old Ezell Wash of Meridian and charged him with felony DUI. His bond was set at $25,000.

    Michael Allen Smith, 43, of Meridian was charged with two counts of forgery/ uttering. His bond was set at $25,000 per charge.

    Meridian Police arrested 28-year-old Derrick R. Dawson of Meridian and charged him with two counts of felony domestic violence. His bond was set at $100,000 per charge. Dawson's charges are considered a felony by upgrade meaning he has previously been convicted of two misdemeanor domestic violence offenses in the past.
