United Way 'Day of Caring' is Thursday

MERIDIAN —     United Way of East Mississippi has scheduled its annual "Day of Caring" for Friday, Nov. 9, for volunteers to help out at various United Way agencies.

    The day will start with breakfast in the education auditorium at Anderson Regional Medical Center at 8 a.m.

    Each team of volunteers will receive T-shirts to wear for the day and meet up with their agency director for details on assignments, then go to the agency for volunteer work.

    Volunteers from the following United Way Pacesetter companies have been paired with these United Way agencies: Anderson Regional Medical Center-Care Lodge; Avery Dennison-Boys and Girls Club; Bank Plus-Wesley House Community Center; Citizens National Bank-Hope Village; East Mississippi Business Development Corp.-The Friendship Center; Mississippi Power-LOVE’s Kitchen; Regions Bank-Boy Scouts; Trustmark-Wesley House Community Center.
