The Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks is waiving entry fees to many outdoor locations and the museum next weekend to observe a "Conservation Celebration."
No entry fees will be charged the public on Saturday, Nov. 3 from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Museum of Natural Sciences. Also visitors to state parks, state lakes and Wildlife Management Areas (WMAs) will not be charged entry fees.
Those who will be hunting or fishing will need appropriate licenses. User permits will not be required for WMAs. All rules of the particular state location must be followed.
Museum features include a dinosaur exhibit, laser shooting, creature features, zipline, archery, face painting, fishing game and aquarium. The museum is located at 2148 Riverside Drive, Jackson. Call (601) 576-6000. For complete information on this celebration go to mdwfp.com.
