Food Network needs extras for filming

MERIDIAN — The Food Network is looking for members of the public to attend events scheduled for the Meridian filming of "Food Court Wars" scheduled for April 11-13.

    Hosted by Tyler Florence of Food Network fame, the competition will pit two Mississippi cooking teams vying for one prize - a restaurant facility rent free for a year.

    Food Court Wars will be hosting several events and needs extras of all ages:

    • Thursday, April 11 at the Bonita Lakes Mall.

    • Friday, April 12 at several family appropriate events scheduled throughout Meridian, and

    • Saturday, April 13, at Bonita Lakes food court where free food from the contestants will be available.
