Woman robbed at gunpoint

MERIDIAN —     Meridian police responded to a call on an armed robbery in a resident's driveway Wednesday night.

    According to Capt. Dean L. Harper, MPD's chief of detectives, Criminal Investigations Division, at 8:30 p.m., a woman was robbed at gunpoint while sitting in her car in her driveway on the 1700 block of 17th Avenue.

    The victim told police that as she sat in her car she was approached by two black males, who robbed her at gunpoint before fleeing on foot.

    "Only a vague description was available," Harper said.

    The victim was not injured.
