Cast your vote in The Star’s 2013 Reader’s Choice Awards

MERIDIAN —     So you just had a delicious meal or experienced excellent service at an auto repair shop and you want to sing their praises. Well, just participate in The Meridian Star's 2013 Reader's Choice Awards and cast your vote for your favorite businesses.

    The voting process is under way now and will continue throughout the month of April. Winners of the contest in categories such as entertainment, food and drink, local business, medical, professional individual, and shopping will be announced in the Friday, May 31 edition of The Meridian Star.

    If you want to really flex your voting muscles then go to The Meridian Star website and vote online. Click the "Readers Choice 2013" tab on the upper left side of the website home page to access the online ballot. If you see a business or individual who is not nominated, you can nominate them yourself online as well. Deadline for nominations and voting is 5 p.m. April 30.

    Online voting costs 25 cents per vote, with a $5 minimum, which is good for 20 votes.

    Printed ballots will be published in The Meridian Star on the following dates in April: 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, and 24-30. Only ballots printed in The Meridian Star will be accepted — no copies. Businesses nominated have to be located in Lauderdale County and individuals must live or work in Lauderdale County. One print ballot per person. If you would like to make multiple votes, you can do so online. Printed ballots may be delivered or mailed to The Meridian Star, 814 22nd Ave., Meridian, MS 39302.
