Authorities search for missing teen

MERIDIAN —     Local authorities are on the lookout for a teenage girl who was reported missing.

    Capt. Dean Harper, commander of the Meridian Police Department's Criminal Investigation Division, said the teen is Lateisha Adams, 17, who was last seen leaving her home located at 200 23rd Street in Meridian. Harper said Adams left the home Wednesday at around 7:30 p.m. and hasn't been seen since.

    "She left alone on foot to go to a friend's house," Harper said.

    Harper said Adams stand 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs around 250 pounds. Adams was reportedly wearing a white T-shirt with a pink ribbon on the front, gray sweat pants and a pearl necklace.
