No injuries in school bus accident

MERIDIAN —     No injuries resulted from an early morning accident involving a Lauderdale County School District bus and the driver of another vehicle.

    According to LCSD Transportation Director Larry Vick, the accident occurred on Old Lauderdale Road, close to Northeast Lane.

    "The bus driver had stopped to let children off. Nothing else was coming from in front, so she started to back up to make a good turn onto the little road and she (driver) backed up into the front of another vehicle," Vick said.

    The transportation director said one student bumped their head on the window, however no one was transported by ambulance to the hospital.
