Queen City Fair opens today

MERIDIAN —     The 11th Annual Queen City Fair opens today at at the Lauderdale County Agri-Center with free gate admission from 4 p.m.-5 p.m.

    Dollar rides will be available until 10 p.m. and MCC Dimensions from Meridian Community College perform at 6:30 p.m.

    The fair continues through Sunday. Attractions include talent showcases, concerts, other performances, exhibits, food from around the world, and the popular midway carnival rides.

    This year Bixby & Friends will provide a unique, entertaining and educational show featuring exotic animals and reptiles from around the world.

    The Queen City Fair also is bringing back its petting zoo, the Rock Band Contest, Meridian's Most Talented, the Little Queen City Fair Pageant and Youth Nite Concerts.
