No garbage pick-up on New Years Day

MERIDIAN —    Waste Pro, which serves the city of Meridian, will run its normal garbage routes on New Years Day.

    Arrow Disposal Services, which handles garbage pick up in Lauderdale County, will not pick up garbage on New Years Day.

    Garbage in the county will be picked up on Thursday for those customers whose garbage is normally collected on Wednesday, said Joey Watkins, the local manager of Arrow Disposal Services.
